Our team at Turlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM continues to provide you with the latest informative posts on your favorite cars. We’re starting off 2016 strong. Our previous post looked to the past, reminiscing 90 years of exciting Chrysler history, examining the car maker’s long path through American decades and trends, often leading in the industry. It looks like it might be time for the car maker to take charge again, this time in the minivan category, thanks to the latest editions of the Chrysler Pacifica.
Announced and shown off at the North American Auto Show recently, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid pave new ground for minivans, a popular family car. Rather than evolving the concept, Chrysler bet it all, working on this minivan from zero. It features a special, redesigned 3.6 liter, V6 Pentastar engine which achieves 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. of torque.
Particularly amazing, however, is the mileage and efficiency, especially for a minivan. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is looking to take the minivan further than most cars in its category. It can go an estimated 80 mpg in city driving, and when running solely on its battery, about 30 miles from a full charge. However, when working in tandem, the projected mileage comes out to 530 miles, a spectacular result.
Chrysler is reaching back to its minivan roots, having invented the vehicle type in 1984. Around those times, Chrysler met the incredibly high demand for seven-person, convenient cars. It’s continuing that tradition with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, which packs on over 100 standard and available safety features, providing convenience and entertainment like few minivans can.
We hope you’re excited as we are for the new Chrysler Pacifica, which is looking like an amazing option for families.
